经典圣诞颂歌简介（九）---啊！圣善夜（O Holy Night）
《啊！圣善夜》的作词是法国诗人普拉西德·卡普奥（Placide Cappeau），作曲是阿道夫·亚当（Adolphe Adam），这是曾被英国广播电台（BBC）评选为名列榜首的十大圣诞颂歌之一。
1843年底法国罗克莫尔（Roquemaure）教堂的管风琴完成翻新，教区牧师说服诗人卡普奥写一首圣诞诗歌以示庆祝。卡普奥忆起一次前往巴黎的途中默想路加福音第二章耶稣诞生情景的经历，顿生灵感写下这首诗歌。同年阿道夫·亚当（Adolphe Adam）为这首诗歌谱曲。这首歌在1847年由歌剧歌手艾米莉·劳里（Emily Laurey）在罗可莫尔首次演唱。 1855年，美国一名牧师约翰·苏利文·德怀特（John Sullivan Dwight）将这首歌翻译成了英文。

《啊！圣善夜》很可能是被翻唱最多的一首圣诞颂歌，包括米蕾耶·玛蒂厄（Mireille Mathieu）、席琳. 迪翁（Celine Dion）、玛丽亚·凯莉（Mariah Carey）、乔什·格鲁班（Josh Groban）等几十名世界各国著名歌手都曾翻唱这首圣诞诗歌。因此，《啊！圣善夜》大概也是电台广播最为广泛的圣诞颂歌，瑞典国家广播电台在圣诞夜的午夜播放这首圣诞颂歌已是历年的传统。
